Yesterday was a big day for me. I participated in the Gusher Marathon. I ended up running 33 miles instead of 28 but I finished in 6 hours and 45 minutes. This was the first marathon I ever did. It meant very much to me because it is very rare to I ever finish anything, and this time I did. I trained, I ate right, and I finished. The hydration stations were great too supplying water, power-ade, oranges, bananas and protein energy gel. I really enjoyed it. We were also allowed to run with out ipods. Getting into the music really helped finish. Today I am sitting on the couch because I have the most horrible blisters on my feet and my legs feel like jello today, very sore jello. I plan to keep running though.
I have had trouble finding good deeds to do everyday so I have decided to set up a point system and take away a point for every thing I do. Points as of today: 364 points
Yesterday I didn't eat much but bananas and oranges during the race. I ate a garden salad for dinner and then went to bed at 8:00. I haven't eaten yet today.
No exercise today because I am still recovering from the 33 miles I ran yesterday.
Faith: No church today either, I cant drive due to the huge blood blister on the bottom of my foot. I think I will try to watch it on the internet today. Maybe that would work.
As a closing not I would like to say the Gusher was wonderful, and the people that put it on were absolutely great. If you get the chance to participate in such an event it is a very gratifying experience. Thank-you for putting the Gusher I would definitely do it again next year.
